More than 200 students are actively exploring career opportunities, discovering skilled trades, and learning about professions they may have never considered before.

And we’re just getting started!

BUT… we have a new challenge. 😅

WE’RE RUNNING OUT OF ROOM!

The tremendous response to our beta launch has pushed our platform’s current storage capacity to its limits. If we don’t address this soon, it could affect platform performance, the student experience, and eventually our ability to serve more students.

Is it a problem? ABSOLUTELY.

Is it a good problem to have? YOU BET! 🙌🏾

Why? Because it means students are showing up, schools are participating, and our vision is becoming a reality.

Now, we have a plan to expand our capacity, strengthen the platform, and prepare TTS for even more students.

But like everything else in the startup world, the solution comes with a price tag. 💰

We’re navigating the challenges, identifying solutions, and continuing to build something we believe can make a real difference in how young people discover their futures.

Meet Hogan Prep senior, Niko Todd.

Niko initially came into Trade Talent Search thinking he wanted to pursue HVAC and get certified in the trade.

🚀 DAY 2 with our second group of 30 eighth-grade beta testers!

Today was another reminder of WHY Trade Talent Search exists.

We spent our second day with 30 incredible 8th graders putting TTS through its paces—and this group brought EVERYTHING:

🧠 Smart
👀 Curious
🙌 Engaged
😂 Playful
🔥 Excited
🚀 Ready to be young pioneers

They created their accounts, completed their first survey, explored the platform, asked questions, shared their thoughts—and most importantly, gave us honest feedback that will help make Trade Talent Search better.

But then we discovered something that really stood out…

About HALF of these students were being introduced to the skilled trades for the VERY FIRST TIME.

Think about that.

These are students who are already beginning to think about their futures, yet many had never been meaningfully exposed to the hundreds of career possibilities that exist beyond the traditional “college or bust” conversation.

That’s exactly the gap we’re trying to help close.

Trade Talent Search isn’t just about showing students a list of careers.

It’s about helping them DISCOVER possibilities they may have never known existed.

It’s about giving them a chance to see themselves as an electrician, welder, HVAC technician, heavy equipment operator, CDL driver, airplane mechanic, line technician, plumber, CNC operator—and so many more.

And today, 30 eighth graders got to help us build that experience.

They aren’t just beta testers.

They’re helping shape the future of career exploration.

And we’re listening. 👂

TODAY, HOGAN MIDDLE SCHOOL MADE HISTORY WITH TRADE TALENT SEARCH! 🚀

Three weeks ago, we launched beta testing for Trade Talent Search (TTS) across six high schools.

Today was different. Today was SPECIAL.

For the first time, we welcomed MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS into the TTS experience—and it all started with an incredible group of 8th graders at Hogan Prep! 🙌

These scholars weren't just sitting in another computer class. They were helping build something new.

They heard words like MVP, EdTech, skilled trades, and data. They created accounts, began discovering their interests, and experienced what it means to be part of a startup that's still being built.

And here's the coolest part: Their feedback will help shape what TTS ultimately becomes.

Before hundreds—hopefully thousands—of middle schools join this movement, one school, one classroom, and one group of scholars took that first leap.

I can't thank Mr. Johnston enough for welcoming me into his classroom. And of course their innovative PrincipaI, Ms. Long.

I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with these amazing students, hearing their questions, watching their reactions, and seeing their excitement firsthand.

To our Hogan scholars: You have a bright future ahead of you. Whether you dream of becoming an engineer, entrepreneur, electrician, welder, technician, or something you haven't even discovered yet, KEEP EXPLORING!

🚀 10 DAYS IN — AND THE STUDENTS ARE ALREADY TEACHING US.

When we launched the beta test for Trade Talent Search (TTS), our goal wasn’t simply to see how many students would sign up.

We wanted to learn.

In the first 10 days, more than 300 high school students representing 8+ schools have signed up for the TTS platform.

And next week, we begin introducing TTS to middle school students.

But one of the most important numbers isn’t 300.

It’s the amount of insight we’ve gained from watching students actually use the platform.

📊 We’re already making changes.

Based on student feedback and early beta data, we’re revising our Student Onboarding Assessment and Trade Compass Assessment to:

• Make questions clearer and more student-friendly
• Reduce overlap and unnecessary questions
• Improve how student interests, preferences, and strengths are identified
• Strengthen the scoring and career-matching logic
• Provide more relevant trade recommendations and personalized results

That’s exactly what beta testing is supposed to do: challenge your assumptions and help you build a better product.

And then there are the individual student stories.

One senior entered TTS planning to become an HVAC technician.

After exploring our “Day in the Life” content, career pathway requirements, salary information, and other resources, he discovered another career he hadn’t seriously considered:

Telecommunications Technician.

Now he’s exploring both.

That may sound like a small moment.

To us, it represents exactly why Trade Talent Search exists.

Students shouldn’t have to choose a career based only on the handful of occupations they happen to know about.

They should have an opportunity to explore, compare, experience, and discover what’s out there before making one of the biggest decisions of their young lives.

With 30+ skilled, mechanical, electrical, energy, and industrial trades to explore, badges to earn, interactive content, career pathways, and our Vertical AI Career Coach, we’re building TTS to make that discovery possible.

We’re only 10 days into beta testing.

300+ students.
8+ schools.
Middle schools are next.
