⚡ BEFORE & AFTER — Full System Replacement + Heat Pump Water Heater ⚡
Where do I even start. 😂
THE BEFORE:
🦿 The old heat pump? No legs. Lieutenant Dan level. It wasn't running — it was surviving. Barely.
🥱 The furnace? Tired doesn't even cover it. That thing was running on stubbornness and a prayer.
🚿 The water heater? Let's just say it was more of a water warmer. Lukewarm at best. Disappointing at worst. We've all been there. These homeowners had been there for way too long.
📚 Quick HVAC lesson — why legs matter on a heat pump:
Your outdoor unit sitting flat on the ground might not seem like a big deal. It is.
❌ No elevation = no drainage. Water and ice pool underneath and around the unit instead of draining away.
❌ No elevation = debris, grass clippings, and dirt get pulled straight into the coils and restrict airflow.
❌ No elevation = freeze/thaw cycles heave the unit over time, stressing your refrigerant lines and electrical connections.
❌ No elevation = flooding risk. One heavy rain and your electrical components are sitting in standing water.
Proper legs or a pad keeps the unit level, elevated, draining correctly, and protected. It's a small detail that adds years to the life of your equipment. Don't skip it.
THE AFTER:
✅ Brand new heat pump — legs and all 🦿
✅ New furnace backup — ready for whatever Missouri winter throws at it
✅ New 40-gallon heat pump water heater — actual hot water. Revolutionary concept.
✅ Happy homeowners — priceless 😄
This one was a full gut and go. New everything. And I couldn't have pulled it off without some strong hands helping me get it done right. You know who you are — appreciate you more than I can say. 🤝
These are the jobs that remind me why I do this. Walking out of a house knowing a family is going to be comfortable, have hot water, and not stress about their equipment failing — that's the whole point.
