JR&CO has been named No. 21 on Roofing Contractor's 2026 Top 100 list, coming in at No. 10 for companies that aren't owned by or tied to a private equity platform. After several years of growing around 30% annually, we're trending closer to 63% this year, which has made for a busy stretch and a good reason to look back at how we got here.
The answer is the people who decided to grow with us. A large share of our leadership came up through the crews, learning the work in the field long before they ran a department or an office or a team of their own, and watching those careers take shape has been the most rewarding part of the last few years. It's also the reason any of this matters to us, because every step the company takes forward creates more room for our people to grow and to take better care of their families, which is what we set out to do in the first place and what we're still building toward.
Our services have grown right alongside them. The architectural cladding department has taken on a range of new systems and expanded what we fabricate in house, our glass and glazing team has scaled up, and waterproofing joined the lineup most recently, each of them added because customers needed the work and because we already had people on our team who knew how to do it well. Roofing has been at the core of this company since day one and always will be, even as the scope of what we can deliver continues to widen.
Technology has been a major driver this year as well, sharpening our estimating, tightening communication between offices, and shortening the distance between the shop, the field, and the customer. That's a large part of how we've grown this quickly without loosening our standard, and it's what has allowed us to serve customers in more than 40 states while building out branches across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, and Florida. That footprint is expanding faster than ever, with offices in Orlando and Denver opening within the past month and several more markets to follow before the end of the year.
