Spotted! Four Wellner team members spent their afternoon volunteering with Habitat for Humanity during Day 1 of the Women Build Blitz in Kansas City! 🛠️🏡

This inspiring three-day effort brings together 300 volunteers from 31 companies and organizations across the metro to help frame walls and build homes in the Lykins neighborhood. More than just construction, the blitz is helping make a meaningful impact on Kansas City’s affordable housing shortage.

We’re proud to see our team giving back and helping build stronger communities! 💙

Excited to start construction! 🦺

We’re excited to get started on the Commerce Bank project in Shawnee, KS!

This project will entail tearing down the old Commerce Bank building and constructing a new, updated Commerce Bank facility in its place. Our Monarch Build team is looking forward to collaborating closely with our partners to ensure a smooth demolition and construction process.

The new building will feature modern amenities and updated design elements that reflect Commerce Bank’s commitment to serving the Shawnee community. We anticipate that this project will provide an inviting and functional space for both customers and employees.

Tough competition yesterday. The Annual Soup-er Bowl ended in a 3 way tie! The three winners were Black Eyed Pea Soup, Broccoli Cheese, & Cowboy Caviar Chili.

As we wrap up 2025, we’re reflecting on a year of meaningful progress and collaboration at Wellner Architects + Engineers. This year marked the completion of several long-term projects - each the result of strong partnerships, thoughtful problem-solving, and a shared commitment to quality design and delivery. We’re proud of what was built, grateful for the clients, consultants, and contractors who helped to bring these projects to life, and are energized by what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making 2025 a successful year.

Every year Wellner host an internal competition or "craft" of some kind. This year, we were approached by J+J Flooring to help bring joy to kids who were spending their holiday at Children's Mercy here in Kansas City by decorating 3’ trees

Our office went a little overboard and everyone created their own tree!

From Squishmallows to Superhero's to Elf and Bluey. We hope to spread Holiday Cheer with every design.

Thanks to J+J Flooring, and the whole crew who helped get make this project a reality! We are excited to hear and see the joy it brings to the Kids in KC.
