My name is Joseph Hixson, the owner/operator of Hixson Woodworks LLC. I first began making furniture fresh out of college in 2014, learning the basics from my dad in his garage. By 2018, I decided to take the craft more seriously and decided to pursue woodworking in earnest, spending hundreds of hours sharpening chisels and planes, designing pieces, building my own shop, and immersing myself in th

e longstanding tradition of makers. Since then, my designs, skills, and aspirations have only grown. I find myself endlessly fascinated by craft: the unique grain of exotic woods, the beauty of a flattened board, the intricate joinery bringing it together - creating something from nothing. Now, I want to share my passion for woodworking with others. Whether it’s cabinets, vanities, tables, or chairs, my goal is to bring something real and tangible into your home - something that was made by me for you; something that has a past, meticulously crafted to last you into the future.
