Requirements of this position:
-2 years minimum experience as equipment operator
- Class A or B CDL License preferred but not required
- Dependable transportation
-Complete clearing, grading, loading assignments with minimal supervision
-Must be able to work in fast paced operation (sometimes urgent tasks pop up)
-Must be a team player
-Must have a smart phone with GPS capabilities
-Must wear proper work attire(flip-flops and shorts are not work attire)
Responsibilities include:
-Daily maintenance on excavator, dozer, tracked loader (Greasing, fueling, checking all fluids, cleaning tracks and cab, blowing out filters, and tightening tracks as needed)
- Safely and efficiently clearing land and loading dump trailers
- Safely and efficiently loading dump trucks
- Communicating with truck drivers and keeping excavator load sheet accurate and turned in daily
- Communicating with mechanic regarding equipment repairs and service.
-Grading with tracked loader and dozer
-Shaping slopes with dozer/tracked loader
-Setting elevations and control points with measuring tape and laser level
General information about working for Altamaha Land Maintenance LLC.:
-typical schedule is 7:30 am to 5:00pm M-F; occasionally a Saturday
-operator may be required to pull small fuel/tool trailer to jobsites from shop.
-position is eligible for 1 week vacation per year; based on 40 hr week; must work 1 year to be eligible
-based in Jesup, GA
-OPERATORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING ALL TOOLS, FUEL, GREASE, COOLANT, ETC WITH THEM DAILY AT JOB SITE. THESE ARE PROVIDED BY ALTAMAHA LAND MAINTENANCE. YOU WILL BE SENT HOME IF YOU DO NOT COME PREPARED TO WORK.
