🌿What is one design trend you're loving right now, and why?

I’m loving the return of natural materials like wood, stone, and brick. They add warmth, character, and timeless beauty to a home.

🌿What is one feature you think every custom home should have?

A well-designed kitchen with plenty of storage and a large island. It’s where families naturally gather, making it the heart of the home.

🌿What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with my family, cheering on my kids at their sporting events, enjoying warm weather, and making memories with the people I love.

🌿What's one timeless design element that you think will never go out of style?

Thoughtful built-in storage. Beautiful homes are even better when they’re organized, functional, and practical.

🌿What does Home mean to you?

Home is where my family is. It’s where I feel safe, relaxed, and surrounded by the people I love most.

🌿 What is your role at Hartford Homes and what is one of your favorite parts of it?

CAD Department (Drafting Prints)
Favorite aspect of my role? Custom Plans! Each customer has their own personal touches and ideas that they want to see when they walk through the front door of their new Hartford Home, bringing those ideas to life, starts on paper, every custom plan brings new challenges to my desk to ensure that every house meets the expectations of the customer

🌿 What is the most rewarding part of seeing a custom home come together from start to finish?

There is great satisfaction in seeing those personal touches become reality as the skilled craftsmen put all those ideas together in the field as each new home is built.

🌿 What is one thing homeowners might not realize goes into building a custom home?

All the little things! Most people don't miss the big things in a new build but a professional contractor team always takes care of all the little things that are easily overlooked and make all the difference in both the aesthetics and function of the house.

🌿What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I am blessed to share the same interests and hobbies of my wife and daughters, most evenings and weekends we will be found on the back of a horse, training, trail riding, or camping with our equestrian friends, and when the leaves start to change and Fall comes around we are chasing giant Whitetails!

🌿 What does "Home" mean to you?

Home should always be our safe harbor, where we can decompress from life with loved ones around a dinner table, campfire, or wherever we happen to be. For me, Home is primarily a feeling derived from being where you are loved and belong.

🌿What is your role at Hartford Homes, and what's your favorite part of what you do?

I am Field Superintendent.
My role in Hartford Homes is also getting all the permitting and pre- construction utilities prepared for construction. I also meet with customers on their property to determine the elevations and placement of homes.

🌿What is one thing homeowners might not realize goes into building a custom home?

One thing people don’t realize is the amount of preconstruction work that needs to be done permits-septic- utilities- and all the schedules.

🌿If you could design your dream home, what is one feature it would absolutely have?

I would need a large garage that is heated.

🌿What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

Outside of Work I enjoy golfing with the boys and watching a lot of Softball and Baseball games. Also being home with family and sitting around campfires.

🌿In one sentence, what does "home" mean to you?

To me home is where family and friends gather to make memories!
