Golf, networking, and future careers? Sounds like a great evening to us! ⛳

Capital teammates from across our vertically integrated team of companies spent the evening at State Technical College of Missouri's Osage View Driving Range connecting with students in the HEO, Civil Engineering Technology, Diesel Technology, and Welding Technology programs!

Opportunities like these are about more than sharing what we do. They give us the chance to introduce students to the many career pathways across our companies, provide real-world insight into our industry, and build meaningful connections with the next generation of skilled professionals.

We’re confident these students have bright futures ahead, and we’re excited to see where their careers take them. 👏

For our next episode in our series, inspired by Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs, Business Development Manager Jamie Reed trades his usual role for a hands-on look at our Welding and Fabrication operations.

Joining Fabrication & Industrial Maintenance Manager Casey Sweet, Maintenance Technician Preston Wieberg, and Welder Eli Jackson, Jamie gets a firsthand look at how the team brings innovative ideas to life, tackles equipment repairs and helps keep our family of companies self-sufficient. ⚙️

Keeping our equipment in working order takes skill, creativity and a team that knows how to get the job done. And when something needs to be built, fixed or reimagined, our Welding and Fabrication team is up to the task! From the fabrication shop to the field, Jamie gets to see how the team's work comes together, and even tries his hand at a few things himself.

After this visit, Jamie may want to keep an eye on the Business Development budget for any unexpected equipment repairs!

Take a look behind the scenes at the people and skills that help keep Capital moving. 👏

Ever wonder how sand makes its way from the Missouri River to the roads, projects and even golf courses we use every day? Or who actually gets it from the river to the plant?

This , we’re celebrating the people, skills and career opportunities that keep our industry moving. Inspired by Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs, we’re sending our Business Development Manager, Jamie Reed, into the field to work alongside the people who do it every day. 🚧

For our first stop, Jamie joins the crew at our Jefferson City Sand Plant, where Boat Pilot Darrell Calton and Deckhand Dillon Koepke give him a firsthand look at what it takes to work on the Missouri River and keep material moving from the river to our plant operations.

Behind every project, there are real people performing real work and building real careers. Follow along throughout October as we take you behind the scenes of some of the jobs that make it all happen. 👏

Last week, we joined State Technical College of Missouri to officially dedicate the new Capital Equipment Building, supporting State Tech’s Heavy Equipment Operations program and the next generation of skilled professionals entering our industry. 👏

The need for skilled people across the construction industry continues to grow, and meeting that need takes more than simply hiring. It takes investing in education, creating opportunities for students to experience the industry firsthand, and supporting programs that prepare them for successful careers. That’s what this partnership is about.

As State Tech continues to grow its HEO program, we’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in a facility that will support hands-on learning and help prepare students for the opportunities waiting for them in our industry. 👷👷‍♀️

Thank you to State Tech, its instructors and leadership, our industry partners, and everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Most importantly, we’re excited for the students who will learn, train and begin building their careers here.

The future of our industry starts with opportunities like these, and we’re grateful to be a part of it.

October is , a chance to celebrate the people, opportunities and careers that keep our industry, communities and economy moving. 👏

Construction offers competitive pay, long-term opportunity, diverse and fast-paced work, and the chance to play a part in building and supporting the infrastructure our communities rely on every day. And this month, we’re showing you some of those careers the best way we know how: by getting out there and doing the work.

Inspired by Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs, we’re sending our Business Development Manager, Jamie Reed, into the field to work alongside the people who do it every day. 👊

Jamie’s role already takes him across Capital’s operations, where understanding our capabilities, our people and how the different pieces of our vertically integrated business work together is an important part of what he does. But knowing the work and actually doing it are two very different things!

Throughout October, Jamie will trade business development for a boots-on-the-ground experience in several areas of our business, learning from the people who know these jobs best and getting a firsthand look at the skill, knowledge and hard work it takes to keep Capital moving. We have a feeling he’ll learn a few things, get his hands dirty and probably find himself a little outside his comfort zone along the way.

Follow along all month as we celebrate the people, careers and opportunities that make construction a great industry to build a future in. 🚧

Our Arkansas crews have been hard at work helping bring the new City of Searcy South Main Community Center and Sports Complex to life. 👏

The project includes three sites: The Ramp, a new community center; two quad baseball and softball fields; and six new soccer fields, all connected by a multi-use trail with multiple parking areas. 🥎⚽️

Our team is handling the earthwork and storm drainage across all three sites. Crews are currently finishing the remaining baseball fields and placing Class 7 aggregate throughout the parking areas.

We’re grateful to play a part in building a space that will bring people together, create opportunities and make a lasting impact in the Searcy community. We look forward to seeing this facility come to life!
