Having good tools and the right ones for the job are essential to getting the job done right and efficiently. We've invested in a Festool drywall sanding system with HEPA filtration to capture essentially all of the dust and mess from drywall repairs in your home. Not only does that mean less mess, it also helps us get done faster with less cleanup, a win-win! Thanks to Mike Transano with Cardwell Lumber for your help in selecting the right system for us!

Started in on some tedious drywall repair today! This house is a converted old barn, but they unfortunately had a water leak and had to open the walls up. We got the drywall squared up, cut new pieces, and hung it all and filled the gaps and seams. Back tomorrow to tape!

Roofing gone wrong, but not for several years later until it finally soaked the ceiling enough to collapse. This one took some extra work to get it right. The existing ceiling was drywall, with varying thickness plaster, and a texture finish. We had to build up (on top of 1/2" drywall) over a half inch of mud in some places. Back to clean up, prime, and paint it all tomorrow!

The guys have been working hard, with a lot more to go, on helping S2 legacy properties renovate one of Jefferson City's historic homes. Mike spent some time running poplar boards through the router for us to re-create the original window casings in this building from 1877. More pictures of this project to come, as we continue to piece things back together and get this building back in shape!

Another bathroom remodel we finished up last week! We also installed all new baseboard and closet doors in all bedrooms to match the rest of the house. This one was a unique challenge, a combo of Onyx and tile, but came out great!
