Eastern Red Cedar is one of the most aggressive invasive trees in Oklahoma. Without natural fire cycles to control it, cedar spreads rapidly across pastures, fence lines, and open land.

Over time it chokes out native grasses, reduces usable grazing land, consumes large amounts of groundwater, and significantly increases wildfire risk due to its highly flammable oils.

Forestry mulching and cedar removal help restore the land, allowing native vegetation to return and making the property easier to manage and maintain.
