Well, I showed all of my pretty work last week, let's add one of my not so pretty cuts! No worries, this was a scrap piece of wood, no walnut was harmed in the process ;)

Cute little spice crack I made!

A smaller edge grain board. This one is purpleheart, maple, walnut, and ash. It tried to explode when I was planing the surface, so it ended up alot shorter than I planned. So I cut a funky juice groove into it, and gave it a handle, for science!

Another style of trivet. This one has little brass feet. I made a board, then I cut dados half way through, finished it off with a cherry runner on the outside. Really happy with the way it turned out!

A slated trivet. Ash slats, with walnut risers. Tried to keep the grain in the ash, so you can make out the knot in the face of the trivet.
