Why is GOLEM more earth-friendly, and how can it become even greener?
According to various studies, a typical house construction site can waste anywhere between 10-15% of the lumber delivered, with some estimates reaching as high as 30% of all building materials being discarded, with wood being a significant portion of that waste.
GOLEM reduces waste by using only the concrete needed for precise designs—eliminating excess material.
Stone structures are low maintenance and extra stone leftover from the build can be used for home finishings such as countertops or tile. It can also be used by transforming leftovers into valuable resources for landscaping, road construction, and other applications.
The transportation of heavy stone over long distances undeniably contributes to carbon emissions. At GOLEM, we focus on localized construction to decrease transportation emissions and energy use.
We’re continuously exploring ways to make GOLEM even greener by integrating recycled and composted materials, improving energy efficiency, and further optimizing reusable components.
