Why is GOLEM more earth-friendly, and how can it become even greener?

According to various studies, a typical house construction site can waste anywhere between 10-15% of the lumber delivered, with some estimates reaching as high as 30% of all building materials being discarded, with wood being a significant portion of that waste.

GOLEM reduces waste by using only the concrete needed for precise designs—eliminating excess material.

Stone structures are low maintenance and extra stone leftover from the build can be used for home finishings such as countertops or tile. It can also be used by transforming leftovers into valuable resources for landscaping, road construction, and other applications.

The transportation of heavy stone over long distances undeniably contributes to carbon emissions. At GOLEM, we focus on localized construction to decrease transportation emissions and energy use.

We’re continuously exploring ways to make GOLEM even greener by integrating recycled and composted materials, improving energy efficiency, and further optimizing reusable components.

Why Design The World’s Smallest 3D Concrete Printer?

We aren't waiting on technology to serve us and be developed our way as 3D printers.

GOLEM might be small by construction standards, but as 3D printers he is big. So big, that other skilled 3D printing operators (slicers) can directly start changing their environment the way that plastic 3D printing changed our shelves.

We made GOLEM small after submitting our build to the ICON library for designs and seeing that the winners were expensive houses.

They also were developing for printing on Mars.

If the equipment is expensive and complicated to operate, then affordable housing would never be an option.

We were driven with the understanding that with our skills and guidance GOLEM can begin producing affordable housing.

Whether luxury housing, or affordable, the process is still one layer at a time. We're focused on efficiently putting these layers down so that the process is affordable.

Without GOLEM, it's currently unattainable.

If not us, who?

If not now, when?

Are we going to talk about it or do it?
