🌀 HURRICANE ISAIAS: IS YOUR ROOF READY? 🏠
As Hurricane Isaias impacts our region, Ready Roofing wants to remind homeowners throughout Northern Florida and Southern Georgia to stay alert, stay prepared, and most importantly, stay safe.
Even when we aren’t in the direct path of a hurricane, the outer bands of a storm can bring periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, and wind-driven rain. These conditions can quickly expose weaknesses in a roofing system that may not have been noticeable before.
🌧️ WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOUR ROOF STARTS LEAKING?
✅ Contain the water with buckets or containers to help prevent additional interior damage.
✅ Move furniture, electronics, rugs, and valuables away from the affected area.
✅ Take photos and videos of the leak and any visible damage. This documentation may be helpful if an insurance claim becomes necessary.
✅ Pay attention to your ceiling. If you notice sagging, bubbling, or rapidly spreading water stains, stay away from that area because water may be accumulating above the ceiling.
⚠️ Most importantly, NEVER climb onto your roof during a storm or attempt a repair while conditions are unsafe. Your safety comes first.
