OCTOBER Tip Tuesday: COOLER TEMPS BRING BROWN PATCHES
As the weather cools, brown patches may appear in your lawn. Certain diseases become active when the soil temperature is between 65ยฐF and 75ยฐF. But, fear not - the disease will go dormant again when the weather warms in May. For more info, search https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/topics/turfgrass-diseases

OCTOBER Tip Tuesday: WANDER THROUGH THE WILDFLOWERS!
Now that the scorching sun of summer is about over, it is a great time to sow Florida wildflower seeds. And, best of all, you can help stem the tide of global insect decline by creating a habitat for birds, bugs and other wildlife. For more info, search https://www.flawildflowers.org/

Not all Jacksonville neighborhoods have trees, and the impacts are measurable. Low tree canopy affects heat exposure, utility bills, physical & mental health, and even overall life expectancy.

Join us at the Town Hall on September 17 to talk about building a more equitable canopy across our city.
