Don’t fall for scammers using Sheriff T.K. Waters’ name.

Here we are again, warning you about another scam circulating. This one claims you need to pay 9,500$ (yes, that’s how they wrote it) for failure to appear and contempt of court. It even includes a supposed signature from Sheriff T.K. Waters.

To the untrained eye, this might be alarming. To us, it’s clearly a scam: lowlifes trying to steal your hard-earned money.

They also decided to include a badge from our friends at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office…unauthorized, of course.

We are NOT going to e-mail you with an arrest warrant and a citation amount. We are NOT going to call you and ask for money.
