A Little Cup of Small-Town Magic
There’s something special about a little town,
Where friendly faces can always be found.
Where they know your name when you walk through the door,
And somehow you leave with a little bit more.
A cup of herbal tea, a smile, a hello,
A place to unwind and just take life slow.
No hustle, no hurry, no need to race,
Just kindness and warmth in a cozy little place.
Oh, Brigham, Utah, you sweet little gem,
It’s moments like these that I treasure again.
A little conversation, a whole lot of cheer,
And suddenly life feels sweeter right here!
Because sometimes the best things in life, you see,
Are friendly faces and a lovely cup of tea!
Grateful for small towns, big hearts, and little moments of connection.
Thank you, The Artisan's Apothecary, for making everyone feel so welcome!
WAHOOOO! A cup of tea and a little love go a long way!

Started my morning with a smoothie delight,
Trying to keep my body healthy and bright!
Next up, squash and pear soup—oh my!
My daughter makes it so yummy, I just have to try!
And when the leftovers come my way,
The wild turkeys get a buffet today!
They gobble and wobble,
And strut like they’re kings,
While I dance around doing my silly little things!
Who says growing older means acting your age?
I’m still a kid on life’s big stage!
A little soup, some laughter,
And turkeys running free,
Who needs fancy entertainment
When you’ve got a backyard like me?
Stay playful, stay grateful, stay a little cuckoo!
Life’s too short not to shout WAHOOOO!

I want to make every day as spectacular and gratitude-filled as I possibly can.
But let’s be real… some days come in gentle little waves…
and some days come in like,
“WAHOOO! HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT!”
I’m definitely a work in progress — emphasis on the WORK.
So I’m learning to enjoy the scenery, appreciate the detours, laugh at the potholes, and stop expecting myself to have it all figured out.
I’m traveling this journey in my own imperfect, slightly messy, wonderfully REAL way.
Grateful for the view.
Grateful for the lessons.
Grateful for another day to try again.
And if I happen to take the scenic route… well, at least there’s usually something beautiful to paint along the way.
WAHOOO, to being spectacularly imperfect!

My husband calls this
my “Amazon Boyfriend”
because he brings me gifts
practically EVERY DAY!
He never forgets what I ordered.
He shows up right at my door.
He doesn’t complain about shopping.
And sometimes… he even delivers SAME DAY!
What a world we live in!
Remember when we actually had to get dressed, drive to the store, wander around for an hour, stand in line, and haul everything home?
Now I’m sitting on the couch in my pajamas thinking…
“Ohhhh, I need some paint brushes.”
CLICK.
“Oh! And herbal tea.”
CLICK.
“Ohhhh… look at that! I absolutely NEED that thing I didn’t even know existed 30 seconds ago.”
CLICK CLICK.
Then the next morning…
DING D**G! 📦
My husband looks at the porch and says,
“Your boyfriend’s here AGAIN.”
I tell him, “Don’t be jealous, honey. He just knows my love language…
FREE SHIPPING.”
Lord help us if Amazon ever starts delivering flowers and doing the dishes.
🤣

Mountain goats don’t choose the easy trail.
They climb the steep stuff—
rocky ledges, jagged mountains,
places that make you wonder,
“How in the heck did you get up THERE?” 😂
Sure-footed.
Steady.
One little hoof at a time.
Kind of like life.
Although, I’m beginning to think
climbing a mountain might be easier
than learning how to live with human beings!
But here’s what the goat knows…
Keep climbing.
Because when you reach higher ground,
your perspective changes.
Things that looked HUGE from below
suddenly look a little smaller.
And the VIEW?
Oh me, oh my…
AMAZING.
Then back down to earth for a little human-goat behavior…
ICE CREAM!
Goats lick salt blocks.
Humans lick ice cream cones.
Past the teepees,
through this beautiful land,
I wander with my little goat backpack on my shoulders
and my cuddly plush moose along for the journey.
A little childlike wonder.
A little mountain wisdom.
A little silliness.
Maybe that’s what life is—
Stay sure-footed.
Climb the hard mountains.
Laugh at the humans.
Find higher ground.
Enjoy the view.
And never forget the ice cream.
WAHOOO!
