Have you ever been curious how well closed cell foam performs and stops heat transfer? These two pictures are side by side. 2ā€ closed cell. The hanger door wasnā€™t ready to spray our first time there. So we had to go back. Also, a lot of older homes are under insulated. Get a hold of us for a free attic inspection. What is air sealing? Air sealing is sealing every gap around electrical boxes, ducts, joints, etc in the attic. Most people skip this step. Even in brand new builds šŸ„“. How is this done? It can be accomplished by either using contractor grade can foam. Or by spraying closed cell or open cell foam. Covering every sqft of the entire attic. This creates a complete seal. After we spray an attic, we blow in fiberglass to achieve a r49. Whatā€™s the point of air sealing? Well it cuts down on conditioned air escaping. Cutting energy cost. Making your home even more comfortable.

Feel like your insulation isnā€™t doing its job? Energy bills increasing? Or is your roof one of the first ones in the neighborhood to melt all the snow off? Well, we can help! Upgrade your attic to a complete air seal. We start by removing all insulation. Cover any fixture boxes, can lights, bath fans etc for future access. Make sure attic is vented properly. Than apply 2ā€ of closed cell foam. After that we blow in 12ā€ of fiber glass to bring your attic to a r49. Free estimates as always!
