Fall officially arrives today — and this is where we'd spend it. 🍂

A brand-new perimeter trail, cut in at the end of August, running under a natural archway of branches that was already there. It just needed a path beneath it. It's freshly graded right now; give it a few weeks of leaf-drop and it'll feel like it's been there for decades.

Fall officially starts Tuesday. Our holiday lighting calendar started filling in August. 🎄

Every year it goes the same way: the first cold snap hits in October, everyone thinks about lights at once, and the best install dates are already gone. The homes that look like this in December are the ones that booked in September.

A plain lawn, a thin strip of mulch, and a front porch with nothing to frame it. By early summer the same yard had sweeping bed lines, a flagstone path from the walk to the porch, a proper tree ring, and fresh plantings just starting to fill in.
