The other night I went to a nice restaurant and ordered a burger.
It was $25.
Naturally, I was deeply concerned, so I asked the waiter for a full price breakdown:
How much was the bun?
How much was the beef?
How much was the cheese?
How long did it take the cook to make it?
What was the restaurant’s profit margin?
Then I told them their labor and profit seemed outrageous, stormed out, left a bad review, and didn’t pay.
Just kidding.
That never happened.
And it wouldn’t happen, because most of us understand that $25 is a reasonable price for a burger at a nice restaurant.
You’re not just paying for the beef and the bun.
You’re paying for the building, the staff, the equipment, the training, the insurance, the experience, the convenience, and the fact that someone else knows how to make it right.
Contractors are no different.
When you hire a licensed electrical contractor, you’re not just paying for wire, breakers, boxes, and time on site.
You’re paying for licensing, training, insurance, permits, trucks, tools, warranty support, code knowledge, scheduling, experience, liability, and the peace of mind that the job was done safely.
We’re always happy to explain what’s included in a project.
But a professional price is not just a pile of parts plus an hourly wage.
It’s the cost of doing the job correctly, legally, safely, and standing behind it after we leave.
That matters.
