Today is the first day of Fall, and cooler temps couldn’t get here soon enough!

July is typically the hottest time of the year down South, but oh, boy, has September been a doozy! Our service areas in North Mississippi, the Greater Memphis Area, and North Alabama experienced late summer heat waves, which made the conditions our team members work in miserable and, at times, downright dangerous. The less hot temperatures are a sign that growing season is winding down. Now bring on the fall color!

Yesterday, our team attended the IFMA Huntsville Chapter Expo at Stovehouse. John-Paul Tortorigi, our Business Development Manager, and Account Managers Amber Powe and Nate Isenhart had such a great time networking with other IFMA members and facilities professionals from across the Huntsville area and sharing about the commercial landscape services the experts at Michael Hatcher & Associates provide.

Tuesday night was so special, and we have the Huntsville Botanical Garden to thank for it!

This was our second year attending the Garden Soiree, and we were especially glad to have Commercial Maintenance Account Manager Rachel Green – a Give to Grow the Garden Ambassador in 2025 – at the Michael Hatcher & Associates table again. She was joined by Account Managers Nate Isenhart and Amber Powe, Business Development Manager John-Paul Tortorigi, Ginny Shikle from Marketing and Sales, and Kelly Ogden, Region Manager, Maintenance.

All proceeds from the sold-out event benefit Nature’s Playground at the Garden, a treasured space in the Rocket City where the community can learn, explore, and enjoy nature for years to come.
