“I just keep my thermostat at 72 all year.”
Then summer hits, the system runs nonstop, and the bill climbs.
Before winter cold snaps, we hear it again, same number, different season, same frustration.
The fix isn’t a magic temperature. It’s a schedule:
- When you’re home and occupied: cool a few degrees higher (or warm a few degrees lower) so comfort stays steady.
- When nobody’s calling for heating/cooling: let it drift to cut unnecessary runtime.
- In heat: use warmth recovery only when you actually need it.
If you share your current thermostat habits, we’ll point out where runtime is getting wasted, and whether a quick calibration/maintenance is all it takes to feel comfortable again.
