Kitchen Transformation

Our customer wanted a contemporary kitchen that conveys a spacious and airy atmosphere

The outdated kitchen, characterized by peeling paint, dim lighting, and cramped counters with obsolete appliances, underwent a complete transformation. The worn floor and chipped cabinets were replaced, and the pantry and soffits were removed to create a more open space. Light-colored wood grain LVP flooring was installed. A stunning marble mosaic backsplash now runs from the countertop to the upper cabinets, transitioning to a patterned subway tile around the sleek range hood, creating a striking focal point. The harmonious blend of tile colors and designs complements the white cabinets and marbled quartz countertops, adding depth and character. The entire kitchen now radiates style, openness, and refinement.

Century Home (1860) Bathroom Remodel

The bathroom, added between 1960 and 1970, had a toilet on a raised platform to accommodate plumbing. Our customer wanted to remove the step up to the toilet and modernize the bathroom. They also requested new plumbing for a sink on the opposite side to create a small dinette area, envisioning it as a future Airbnb suite. The house, rich in history, retains unique features like visible bark on the trees used for the floor joists, and old wagon wheels in the basement. Pretty Cool.

Customer requested the Shower and whirlpool bath tub to be removed and replaced with a larger, dual head, walk in corner shower. Also wanted suggestions on what to do in the old shower space. Challange accepted.

Century Bathroom AFTER Pt.2:

Century Bathroom BEFORE Part 1: We were hired to remodel this bathroom which was last updated in the 1990's. The home was built in the late 1920 to early 1930's. The request was for a new shower along with adding a freestanding tub & faucet. Floor tile, a half-tiled wall and a framed shower mosaic was in the plan as well. First order of business was to gut this entire bathroom and to run plumbing for a free-standing tub and faucet. Getting to the joists to run the new plumbing proved difficult since "back in the day", when floor tile was laid, joists were trimmed down about 2", cleats added on top which supported the 2" of concrete that was poured to make a solid base for the tile being laid. Our customer desperately needed a bathroom makeover. This bathroom was last updated in the late 70's. The walls had wallpaper on the upper half and a painted teal bottom half. The original countertops and sinks were in place and were chipping. The shower couldn't be used due to the leaking cast iron tub. We happily gutted the entire bathroom. We replaced the subfloor, removed the wallpaper and skim coated the walls and ceiling. A new toilet, double vanity, sinks, shower surrounded and new fixtures were added. We also replaced the exhaust fan with one that was appropriately sized for the space. Finally, luxury vinyl floor went down and a fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling. Removing the old light fixture and replacing it with recessed lighting over each sink and in the shower brightened up the room. The addition of subway tile above the shower surround going up to the ceiling provided a classic and finished look.
