There has been a great disturbance in the this week, as the galaxy mourns the passing of icon .💔 Dolly Parton had the heart of Jedi Master. She embodied and grace, she embraced inclusiveness & diversity, and (like a Jedi) she was a fierce protector of all living beings. Her joy for life and the compassion she had for all people is a that won't be forgotten. Dolly's light was as bright as the galaxy! ✨️ May the Force be with you, always. ✨️

Join Star Wars Enthusiasts of Houston Fan Group for our next Star Wars ! 🎲 This fun and friendly meetup for AUGUST will be at The Forge Hobbies & Games on SUNDAY, AUGUST 3️⃣0️⃣ from 4-8 PM.

Our Game Night will feature a variety of board games, card games, lightsabers, and tables. Feel free to bring your favorite to play or try one from our stash. 🎲 Learn to play a variety of Sabacc versions and Hintaro from our friends with The Lost Hand Cantina.

is optional, but certainly adds to the fun. This month's theme is "Journey to ", so we'll be celebrating the grand casinos of Canto from The Last Jedi. Feel free to wear your favorite cosplay or in-galaxy Sabacc inspired gear. (Jedi, Sith, rebels, scoundrels, denizens, smugglers, and scavengers attire is always welcome, too 😉). You can also wear your favorite fan shirt. Plenty of table space is always available for socializing.

This event will feature a Star Wars themed Canto Bight , so please bring your favorite inspired foods from The Last Jedi. Suggested potluck menu includes fancy , light bites, desserts, mocktails, and side dishes to share with everyone "Family-style". 🍝🥧🍪🍕🥗 sells drinks, so please support them with your drink purchase. Also, be sure to check out their awesome Star Wars games & hobby supplies while at The Forge!

➡️ NOTE: The Forge is now at their brand new building at 15121 Memorial Drive. Parking is available in front and behind the building. ⬅️

Several of our awesome SWEH members also in cosplay at our year-round events and for our annual charitable causes. ✨️ Giving back to our and supporting great causes is so rewarding for our volunteer crew. It's the best part of being fans! ✨️ We greatly appreciate the many wonderful volunteers who dedicate their time & energy for causes we love supporting. ❤️

At most of our Star Wars Enthusiasts of Houston fan group , you can play . 🎲Our friends from The Lost Hand Cantina enjoy teaching the game to anyone who wants to learn. We often see several of our friends from the Kyber Cantina at our game nights, too.

We have another Meetup + Potluck coming up at The Forge Hobbies & Games later this month on August 3️⃣0️⃣! In addition to "in-galaxy" games like Sabacc and Hintaro, we always have a variety of Star Wars board games & card games to play. Attendees can also bring their favorites like the popular Star Wars Unlimited.

Come join us! Cosplay is optional but always fun!
