The World Cup is coming to Houston, TX soon & EDI brought the shade to Main Street!!

EDI helped move nearly 100 mature trees, including sycamores, elms, and oaks planted to create a more walkable, memorable downtown experience in preparation for the World Cup taking place from Thu, Jun 11, 2026 – Sun, Jul 19, 2026.

A great golf course takes time. A mature tree canopy doesn’t have to.

At Point Clear Golf Club, EDI helped fast-forward the feel of the course by preserving and relocating hundreds of large trees, including this 60-ft, 90,000-lb Shumard red oak.

Two 110-ton heritage trees moved in Cedar Park, Texas. . .

At CedarView in Cedar Park, EDI helped preserve two roughly 60-foot heritage trees, each with 30-inch caliper trunks, by relocating them on-site with our ArborLift® system.

Instead of removing mature trees for development, this project shows what’s possible when growth and preservation work together.

Environmental Design, Inc. specializes in large tree transplanting, and this project was nothing short of extraordinary. Our client tasked us with relocating three massive oak trees from the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Florida, to a historic plantation home undergoing renovation.

We sourced the trees from a boys’ home in Palatka, Florida, carefully transporting them over 50 miles downriver on a barge. Navigating under four bridges, we successfully offloaded the trees at the plantation, preserving their beauty and history.

Completed in February 2023, this large-scale tree transplant was a testament to expert planning, state-of-the-art equipment, and sustainable landscape solutions. The trees continue to thrive under arborist care.

A 14-ft spade moving 90,000 lbs.
That’s 30 cars or 7 elephants.

At Point Clear Golf Club in Alabama, EDI used our 14 ft tree spade to move a 60 ft Shumard red oak weighing an estimated 90,000 lbs.

For scale, that is roughly the weight of 30 cars and about the height of 10 grown men stacked vertically or a 6-story building.
