Writing this book series was a deeply personal journey for me. As an Indian child growing up in England, I often felt like the stories I enjoyed reading didn’t quite reflect my world. I wanted to change that for the next generation. My hope is that every child who picks up these pages sees a bit of their own story and feels truly seen and valued. Creating spaces where every child can find themselves in literature has become a mission close to my heart..
Through these books, I hope for children to foster an acceptance of their authentic selves, inclusive of differences in practicing religion (and within Hinduism), and inclusive of the diverse and incredible communities that many of us live in.
