S&P Celebrates Sheldon ISD’s 9th and 10th Grade Campus Ribbon Cutting

Despite the possibility of tropical weather moving through the region, community members, district leadership, board trustees, and project partners turned out in strong numbers to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new C.E. King High School 9th and 10th Grade Campus.

During the ceremony, Superintendent Dr. Demetrius McCall, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services James "JR" Webster, Campus Principal Jeralan Kannady II, Brendan Hoffman of Huckabee and John Marshall of Satterfield & Pontikes (S&P) provided thoughtful commentary on the collaboration and commitment that made the project possible.

“This campus represents more than brick and mortar. It represents our community’s shared commitment to providing every student with a place where they can learn, grow and discover who they are getting to become,” said McCall, Sheldon ISD Superintendent. “I stand confidently, knowing the campus leadership and their dedication, planning and preparation will establish a culture of excellence that will define the standards from day one.”

Spanning more than 330,000 square feet, the two-story campus will serve 2,222 freshman and sophomore students in four career academies: Public Service Leaders, Agriculture Careers in Education, Future Business Leaders and Medicine Experience Dedication. Designed to encourage collaboration and hands-on learning, the facility includes academy-centered learning environments, performing arts spaces, a library, gymnasiums, and collaborative gathering areas.

“Ribbon cutting night is the best night for a construction project. It's when a building gets turned into what it was built for, for educating these students,” said Marshall, S&P Chief Revenue Officer. “At S&P we believe in public education, we believe in public schools, and a public school district is the heart of the community. In fact, it is the community. And this community can be proud of its trustees, it's superintendent, its administration, and principal, because their priorities are exactly in the right place.”

Following the ceremonial ribbon cutting, attendees were invited for guided tours of the new campus, giving students, families and community members an opportunity to see firsthand the learning environments and amenities that will serve the next generation of C.E. King students. We were proud to create this project with our partners at Sheldon ISD, LAN, and Huckabee. The new campus opens this Fall to students.

As Advancing Data Center Construction Texas comes to a close, we're leaving Dallas energized by the people, ideas, and partnerships driving the next generation of data center development. From discussions on power and scalability to workforce strategies and AI-ready infrastructure, one thing was clear: Texas continues to be at the center of the industry's growth.

Building data centers at scale in Texas is all about relationships- with the developers and Owner/Operators , trade partners, local communities, and the entire project ecosystem. We live and work in these communities, and we're committed to being a good neighbor while helping deliver the infrastructure that powers the future.

We're proud to have participated as an event partner and especially proud to see our own Cam Thrutchley serve as Conference Chair, helping lead conversations that will shape the future of mission-critical construction.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with our team. We're excited about what comes next!

S&P Celebrates Opening of Humble ISD Foster Elementary School

S&P was proud to join Humble ISD, community members, families, and district leaders at the Community Open House for the new Foster Elementary School in Kingwood, Texas. The event welcomed visitors to tour the new campus and celebrate the completion of a transformative project that will serve students and educators for generations to come.

The open house provided an opportunity for families and community members to explore the new campus through a self-guided walkthrough before students return for the 2026-2027 school year. The event marked a major milestone for the Foster Elementary community, which has eagerly anticipated returning to the home of the Bulldogs, following the school's multi-year rebuild.

Designed by Kirksey Architecture, the new Foster Elementary is a two-story, 121,600-square-foot facility designed to support modern learning through enhanced technology, improved security features, flexible educational spaces, and larger classrooms. Built to accommodate approximately 800 students, the campus will serve Pre-K and Kindergarten through fifth grade.

As students move through the first floor, they are immersed in a "living forest" environment, brought to life through natural tree motifs and a rich green palette. Ascending to the second floor, the experience transitions into the clouds, where soft blue tones reflect the feeling of being above the treetops. Thoughtfully designed collaborative pod spaces maximize every square foot while fostering creativity, supporting multi-class activities, and empowering educators with greater control over their learning environments.

S&P is honored to have partnered with Humble ISD and Kirksey Architecture to deliver this remarkable new campus. Congratulations to Humble ISD on the opening of this beautiful new school. We are proud to have played a role in creating a space where generations of students will learn, grow, and thrive.

More than 100 trade partners joined representatives from Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) and Klein Tools to celebrate the topping out of the Klein Tools Warehouse Expansion in Mansfield, Texas. The milestone marks the completion of the building's structural framework and the transition into the interior construction phase.

The new 460,000-square-foot warehouse is designed to integrate seamlessly with Klein Tools' existing 300,000-square-foot distribution center, creating a more efficient and unified operation that will support the company's continued growth and long-term investment in U.S.-based manufacturing.

"We are honored to partner with Klein Tools on this important project," said Caleb Parsons, S&P Director of Operations. "The commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration demonstrated by the entire project team has been outstanding. We are grateful to our trade partners and project team for their hard work and dedication in helping bring this project to life."

The warehouse expansion represents a significant investment in Klein Tools' Mansfield campus and will enhance the company's distribution capabilities while supporting future growth.

"This project represents an important investment in the future of Klein Tools, our Mansfield operations, and our continued commitment to American manufacturing," said James Bittinger, Chief of Staff reporting to Thomas Klein Sr., Chaiman and CEO of Klein Tools. "We are proud of the progress made to date and our working relationship with S&P, BOKA Powell, trade partners, and everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We look forward to the opportunities this expansion will create for our employees, customers, and the communities we serve."

S&P extends its appreciation to Klein Tools, BOKA Powell, the project's trade partners, and the entire construction team for their dedication, collaboration, and commitment to safety and quality throughout construction to date.

Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026.
