Meet the Team Monday: Office Girlies Edition! 🤗
If you didn’t already know, there are 2 voices behind the phones, and we’re both named Katie/Katy! (We like to keep it confusing around here!)
We’ll start with the OG!
Let’s Meet Katie (A.K.A Katie #1, A.K.A Katie with an ie)
She’s been with Alan’s Plumbing for about 9 years. She’s keeps the day-to-day operations on track, keeps the ship sailing, and handles so much more than just the phones!

What's something you always try to do for every customer?
-I try to give an honest balance of reasonable expectations while navigating time coordination with their schedules, the plumber's schedule, and the projected job in need of service.
What's it like working with plumbers all day?
-They definitely keep me on my toes. However, I grew up as the youngest sibling with 3 older brothers- so I can handle it! 😆
What's the first thing you do when you get to work?
-I immediately get on the phone to return any missed calls outside of business hours.
What's something customers say all the time?
-My favorite is when customers call in for plumbing service and they mention how great our plumbers did last time they were there. Our plumbers really do get some kind of compliment every single day, and it makes me feel really proud.
Funniest thing that's happened on a call?
-One time, I spent a solid 10 minutes talking to someone about their plumbing issue. I typically help the plumbers by gathering as much information as possible, so we were just discussing the symptoms when the customer mentioned "their basement"...we don't have basements in Texas...after 10 minutes had gone by, I got around to asking the address of the property, and he was located in Essex, UNITED KINGDOM! I told him we are in Texas and we laughed about how we certainly couldn't help him with this issue. The best part was, when he asked me what part of Texas we were in, he exclaimed that he has family that lives in Sugar Land!! Such a small world. They ended up calling us for plumbing service a few weeks later! 🥰

-Taylor Swift or Lil' Wayne...and everything in between! 🎶
What motivates you?
-My daughter, Hadley. Everything I do is for her! 🫶🏻
What's one piece of advice you live by? -My dad always said to "do the right thing" in everything you do. I live by that advice every day! 👏🏻
