Audiobooks are basically my studio coworkers at this point.

If I’m working, there’s a very good chance one is playing in the background, and The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion series is high on my favorites list.

Have you read/listened to them yet? If not, where have you been and please remedy that asap. What’s always playing in the background while you work?

If it looks and feels effortless, the countless hours of hard work are doing their job.

Studio orders, live events, calligraphy, engraving, designing, testing, practicing, repeat.

All of it adds up to how each piece comes together, often in just minutes.

Want your gifting station to feel like part of the event and not a just an afterthought?

Give guests options, let them interact with the artist, make the process easy, and send them home with something they’ll actually want to keep.

Thoughtful gift + interactive experience = the kind of activation that sticks.

And a big thank you to Houston Calligrapher and Engraver | Sarah for trusting me to fill in for her at this event with Latham & Watkins.

Okay, I can FINALLY share this...

My old website did its job. But along the way, my business outgrew it.

So my website got a full makeover and I am genuinely obsessed with how it turned out.

I was very picky about this project. Like, probably annoyingly picky. 😅 I had a lot of ideas, a lot of opinions, and a very clear vision of what I wanted the site to feel like.

The team at Ideaction Consulting was incredible through all of it. They helped with everything from strategy and copy to design, while still making space for my ideas and collaborating with me every step of the way.

It feels much more like me now, and I’m so excited for you to see it.

It looks beautiful on mobile, but if you want the full effect, pull it up on desktop.

Go take a peek and tell me your favorite part. 🤍

I always overpack for events bringing back ups for my back ups because you never know what unexpected situation will pop up.

Here’s what I packed in my case for a recent corporate event where I did heat foiled calligraphy personalization on travel jewelry cases and makeup bags for guests.

Case
TruArt
Portable battery
Phone stand
Wrist cushion
Foil rolls
Precut foil
Washi tape
Gold acrylic ink
Spray bottles - water and rubbing alcohol
Small measuring tape
Kingtool
Papertree hot foil pen
Pens for guests to fill out forms
Drafting pencils
Calligraphy pen holder
Brush pens
Staedtler pens
Paint pens
Scissors
Micron Pens
Engraving drill
Trays
Mini Clipboards
Mini lights
Hand sanitizer
Snacks
Extra tips for heat tool
Scrap of acrylic (in case I need to use the paint pens)
Tip money for valet
Request forms
Table sign (not pictured)

And after all that? I probably used about a third of it. But I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and realize it’s sitting at home.
