When metal building internal gutters leak, you need a contractor with the experience to fix them right.

Metalguard has replaced thousands of linear feet of internal gutters with successful, leak-free results. In these two projects, we replaced more than 11,500 linear feet of internal gutter, including a 1,450-foot-long building with 9,700 linear feet of gutter. We also have extensive experience replacing millions of square feet of metal roof panels.

Whether your project involves internal gutter replacement, metal roof replacement, or a combination of both, Metalguard has the experience to help.

Project Complete!

Thank you for following along as we shared the progress of this insulation restoration project at a 173,221 square foot distribution facility.

📸 Photo 1: Before repairs, this section had fallen insulation and damaged facing that impacted both the building's appearance and insulation performance.

📸 Photo 2: After repairs, the insulation was resecured by strapping it back into place, and new facing was installed where needed to create a clean, professional finish.

This project demonstrates that a complete insulation replacement isn't always the only option. With the right engineering approach, many insulation systems can be restored to improve appearance, performance, and service life while working within your budget.

At Metalguard, we specialize in engineered repair solutions for metal buildings across the country. Whether your facility has fallen insulation, damaged facing, roof or wall leaks, or structural issues, our team can help develop a repair plan that fits your building's specific needs.

Thanks again for following this project from start to finish. We look forward to sharing more real world repair solutions and before and after transformations in future posts.

Project Update: The Finishing Touch That Makes the Difference

Repairing insulation isn't just about getting it back into place. It's about delivering a finished product that meets the customer's expectations.

📸 Photo 1: After the fallen insulation was resecured by strapping it back into place, some areas still did not meet the required appearance standards. To create a clean, consistent finish, our team installed new insulation facing over the repaired sections.

📸 Photo 2: A close up view of the completed repair shows the new facing installed over the restored insulation. The result is a clean, professional appearance while helping protect the insulation system for years to come.

At Metalguard, every repair is engineered around the building's existing conditions, the customer's performance goals, and their budget. The result is a practical, cost effective solution that extends the life of the insulation system without the expense of a complete replacement.

Project Update: Bringing Damaged Insulation Back to Life

Every building has unique challenges, which is why engineered repair solutions can often provide significant savings over a complete replacement.

📸 Photo 1 – Before: Years of wear left sections of the insulation damaged and hanging, reducing the system's effectiveness and creating an unsightly appearance.

📸 Photo 2 – After: Our team resecured the fallen insulation by strapping it back into place and restored the damaged area with new insulation facing, creating a clean, uniform finish while extending the life of the existing system.

For many facilities, targeted insulation repairs are a practical way to improve performance, appearance, and longevity without the cost of a full replacement.

Stay tuned as we continue sharing the progress of this 173,221-square-foot distribution facility insulation restoration project.

Project Progress Update: Before & After Photos from Our Distribution Facility Insulation Restoration Project

Not every insulation project requires a complete replacement. In many cases, targeted repairs can restore performance and appearance while keeping costs under control.

📸 Before: This section of the building had fallen insulation that was no longer providing proper coverage or presenting a clean appearance.

📸 After: Our crew resecured the hanging insulation, installed missing fiberglass insulation where needed, and finished the repair with new insulation facing to create a continuous, professional-looking system.

By evaluating each area individually, Metalguard can engineer repair solutions that fit the existing conditions and your budget. This helps extend the life of your building without unnecessary replacement.

When insulation starts falling or deteriorating, it's more than just an appearance issue. It can impact energy efficiency, condensation control, and overall building performance!

This is the first post in a series where we'll showcase the transformation from start to finish of an insulation repair project at a 173,221 sq/ft distribution facility

📸 Before: Missing insulation and large sections of fallen blanket insulation throughout the building.

📸 After: Our team resecured hanging insulation, installed replacement insulation where needed, and covered the repaired areas with new facing to restore a clean, consistent appearance.

One of the biggest advantages of this type of repair is its flexibility. Every building is different, and these solutions can be engineered to meet your existing conditions, performance requirements, and budget, often providing a cost-effective alternative to a complete insulation replacement.

Stay tuned as we share more photos and progress updates from this project!

Structural Repair Spotlight – Full Column Replacement Project

This project involved a complete column replacement inside an existing metal building, a challenging job with unique engineering requrements.

An overhead crane had been retroactively attached to the building’s rigid frame without proper engineering review. Over time, repeated heavy lifts caused structural failure at weak points in the framing.

Our team stepped in to assess the damage and worked with engineering to design a full replacement capable of safely handling the increased loads.

The customer, an offshore oil and gas support company specializing in fabrication of high-pressure fire suppression skids, requested to perform the column welding themselves. We collaborated closely, providing:

✅ Detailed repair and engineering plans
✅ Cut and prepped steel
✅ Shoring and temporary supports
✅ Removal of the damaged column
✅ Installation of the new column

This project required precise coordination between multiple teams, careful planning, and strong communication to ensure an incident-free, on-schedule completion.

Teamwork and adaptability made this one a success!
