We’re making the pie bigger—one bloom at a time. 🌸🐝

We love our honey bees, but our homestead has room for native bees and other visiting pollinators, too. More flowers, more places to forage, and a little sweetness to share. 💚

First up: a bumblebee enjoying our Barbados cherry blossoms… until I got a little too close. Cue my retreat and Auggie nearly tripping me on the way to safety. 😂🐕

Then, a dazzling green orchid bee stopped by the firebush for nectar—and thankfully let me film in peace.

That’s life at Food For Thought Homestead: growing something for us, and leaving something for the little visitors who share this space.

You guys kept us BUSY at Cauley Square yesterday. 💛🌱

Cinnamon Vanilla Honey disappeared from the table again two weeks in a row. 👀

From beeswax to something beautiful. 🐝🕯️

There’s a little more work behind each candle than you might see on the market table—from preparing the wicks and molds to pouring, unmolding and finishing each one by hand.

And we may be slightly obsessed with seeing how every new shape turns out. 🤭

Our beeswax candles are made right here in Homestead and come in everything from flowers and honeycomb designs to our little Highland cows.

Fall garden season is officially underway! 🌱

Here in South Florida, our growing seasons look a little different. While much of the country is wrapping up their gardens, we’re getting ready to plant ours.

The beds are being prepped, seeds are ready, and we have a LOT planned for this season. 🥕🥬🍅🌶️

We’ll be taking you along as we plant, grow, harvest—and probably learn a few things the hard way. 😂
