Flashback to one of the First Ones.

Three years ago, this garage was one of the projects helping us establish Hometown Builders.

Every business starts somewhere. Ours started with working long days, plenty of learning experiences, and customers willing to put their trust in us.

Today, we still carry the same mindset we had on this project: do quality work, communicate honestly, and treat every job like it’s our own.

From open framing to finished detail 👌

This basement staircase started as a vision. We turned it into a clean, modern focal point with custom woodwork, cable railing, and a finish that ties the whole basement together.

A lot of people think stair projects are “just a handrail,” but the small details are what make the difference — layout, symmetry, clean lines, solid structure, and making everything look like it was always meant to be there.

We love projects like this because they completely change the feel of a space without adding square footage.

A little throwback project for us on this one.

This was actually one of the first additions we took on years ago, and it’s been fun looking back at the pictures and remembering all the problem solving that came with it. We originally set the trusses exactly how the architect designed them, but once everything started coming together, we realized the rooflines needed tied together differently to make the addition flow correctly with the existing home.

That’s the part of construction people don’t always see — sometimes plans have to be adjusted in the field to make everything look and function the way it should. We took the extra time to rework the roof transition so the addition looked like it truly belonged with the original house instead of looking pieced on later.

We post a lot of bathrooms and remodels, but projects like this are a reminder that we do much more than just bathrooms. From additions and garages to full remodels and custom projects, we enjoy helping bring big ideas to life.

Looking back at where we started makes us thankful for everyone who has trusted Hometown Builders of Holdrege LLC over the years.
