A nice and easy fix for precast concrete steps. These were beginning to crack and chip in a few places. We repaired all the chips gave the railing a fresh coat of paint and finished this job off by applying a waterproof coating to these steps to seal them from any future water damage and give them a nice face lift. This weekends job was all about safety. These steps were broken and completely deteriorated becoming a safety hazard for anyone walking on them and a liability for the homeowner. We replaced all of the stones on top and rebuilt all of the brick as well as a lot of the block behind it. We also installed flagstone on a landing above to add texture to the surface and prevent slipping. Now this homeowner can sleep soundly knowing they are safe. Remember as a homeowner you are liable for anything that happens at your home, all it takes is a delivery person not paying attention and falling down for you to be in trouble. Talk about a grand entrance! No more yearly touch up with these. We took out the old wooden steps and replaced them with new masonry ones. Beautiful limestone top and finished off with a nice stone veneer to contrast the pavers. We also put in two brand new railings to finish these off and they certainly take this entrance to the next level. We went a bit bigger than usual with this 17x13 patio but still got it done. Finished it off with a nice liquid sealer to keep all the water out. This will be the new spot to be on those nice warm summer days. Bring out the lounge chairs set up the grill and get the burgers going. Light works today on this little step repair. Back in the AM to pull the forms off and it’s good as new.
