3 weeks ago, we were blessed with the newest addition to the family. 9:50AM Rhodes Christopher Bradley Walz was brought into this world. Little man and mom are doing great. All I can say is that grandparent love is a whole new level.

I almost can't believe it's been 13 years we've been married!!! It's surreal to feel like it's been longer and shorter at the same time. She's the best part of me, of us, and I'm incredibly thankful for the blessing she is. Cheers to all the rest to come, baby!!

Vertical Grain Western Red Cedar ceiling treatments and beam wraps for an incredible water front home in Ventura.

We are proud to have our name attached to this project and I couldn't be more thankful to my team for all the hard work and our client(s) for having us be a part of this project.





This project was outside our normal service area (about 130 miles from my house), so we stayed local. There were some challenges due to unforeseen site conditions, 11 hour work days, being away from family and home, etc.....but what an incredible challenge and joy to see come together. Everyone on the team played a vital role in bringing the architect's/ owner's vision to fruition.

I couldn't be more proud of such a talented, hard working team. I am blessed and honored to be a part. Thank you gentlemen!

White oak screen walls at our project on Pacific. We did these a while ago but didn't get around to posting these until now. All of these were shop built, complete....delivered and installed whole. There was a galley style ladder being custom made for the loft area. Every space in this house was optimized and used well.

ArLynn, Lynn, Dad, Papa, Pops... many names, but only one great man!

I never thought I'd lose the best man I knew before I was 50. (His dad lived to 92....worked until he was 90.) But aggressive leukemia had a much different plan.

He exampled everything for me. Character, integrity, work ethic; he taught me multiple trades to make sure I could always take care of myself and my family. He loved his family fiercely and has left an incredible legacy.

Pops - I can't articulate how thankful for you and all you've done for me. I love you more than I can express. I will do my best to honor you and your legacy.

My wife grew up with a redwood picnic table on their back patio...she has fond childhood memories of it... time together with family. She asked me if I could make her a picnic table, so I said I'd see what I could come up with.

This table is made from Mukulungu (African Redwood) 5/4 x 6 deck boards I had picked up, a long time ago, from and the wedges are made from Anigre.

The table design is a combination standard picnic table and trestle table. All of the table edges have an arch as opposed to straight and square. The legs are a saddle jointed X pattern that taper toward the ground. The is a through mortise for the stringer and wedges. It is oiled with Support Penetrating Oil.

Without realizing it, I finished making this piece on what would've been my mother in laws birthday. I feel it is only fitting to honor her memory and legacy....I give you The Ruth Anne.
