I was asked to make a cherry cabinet for above the loo in a customer’s water closet. Yeah, we use a thesaurus around here. 😉 I believe this turned out great. I love how the cherry grain pops on those doors. Tung oil helps keep the natural colors and shows off beautiful grain patterns. What are your thoughts?

A Veteran friend of mine asked me to make a walnut wire spool table with space for his mini fridge. Here it is! I also made a stand for his military helmets. All walnut items in the picture were commissioned over the last year. Really cool projects!

I had the pleasure this summer of bringing a friend’s vision for a 20 year wedding anniversary gift to life. While it was no easy feat with something this large, we were able to keep this project a secret from the design process all the way to the delivery in their dining room!

The most unique and challenging feature of this table is that there is zero hardware involved. Every component including the slide outs for the leaf is completely made of wood. The second part of this project is, of course, chairs. Stay tuned for pics of the completed set!

Specs:
🪚 Walnut. Tung oil for the table and legs,
Minwax dark walnut for the border.
🗜️ Dimensions w/ leaf: 45” x 96”
W/o/ leaf: 45” x 78”

Just oiled the non-burn surfaces of these bourbon smokers. I made these for a craft show a while back but these four were engraved by Crown Trophy here in Helena this week. I am looking forward to putting these to use this weekend for a 20 year reunion of a group of guys I spent a year in combat with. Annihilators Lead the Way!!

Getting a few more items ready to sell at Copper Furrow Brewery. Swing in for a pint and pick up a hardwood cutting board or cherry cribbage board. These simple yet sturdy boards are made from walnut, cherry and hard maple. I coat them in Walrus Oil (not made from Walrus…) and then food safe wax from the same company. The cribbage boards are cherry wood and the cards and pins are inside the board. I use small, strong magnets to keep the “door” tight which makes the cribbage boards great for traveling and frequent use.

I want to say thank you to Helena Hardwoods for a recent referral that will result in a beautiful slab table for a great couple in Townsend. You guys are always so helpful and you have made my business venture go smoother than I expected over the last few years. Thank you!

This 20” x 24” x 2” end grain walnut cutting board made it to Seattle already. The customer is very happy and a friend of theirs is possibly interested in one. After doing some research on pricing, along with checking the current cost of walnut, I would price a board that size at $450. I saw lower quality boards being sold at $600 and I try to keep the costs of my products down to encourage people to buy quality. I also saw similar boards at $200 but that’s close to the cost of the materials! I get a steal on shipping heavy boards so $450 includes the shipping cost anywhere in the US. Send us an email if you would like a board like this!

Wrapping up this beautiful piece today and shipping it out later this week. 20” x 24” x 2” end grain walnut cutting board with inset handles and a 3/4” juice groove. This type of board is meant to last generations and I can’t wait to get it to its final destination. Walnut is stunning in any application.

Two track, all cherry cribbage boards heading to Copper Furrow Brewery (Helena, MT) tomorrow. Pins and a deck of Maverick playing cards included. Best part is, the pins and cards are contained behind a magnetic door. We will start with three cribbage boards at the brewery and if folks like the simple and efficient design, I will happily make more.
