One of the things I love most about this business is the people you meet along the way.

Got this text from Elliot this morning after he spent some time with one of our customers, Mr. Edward:

“Stop talking about it and be about it.”

Then Mr. Edward left us with a little food for thought:

What’s the difference between gratefulness and thankfulness?

Sometimes a service call turns into a lot more than fixing an irrigation system. You meet good people, hear a little wisdom, share a few laughs, and get reminded that relationships are a big part of why we do what we do.

Apparently we’re one big “irrigation family” now 😂

A quick update from Birmingham Irrigation Services:

Due to an unexpected illness, Griffin has been out of the field for the past few days. Unfortunately, Hand, Foot & Mouth made its way through our household, severely with him, and he’s taking the necessary time to recover and avoid spreading it to others.

We know many of you are waiting on service calls, estimates, and return messages. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through a temporary delay in our schedule.

As soon as Griffin is fully recovered, we’ll be working hard to get caught up and take care of everyone as quickly as possible.

Do you have 1 or more zones experiencing pressure issues?

This Mountain Brook homeowner noted gradual loss of pressure over time for their entire irrigation system.

Older properties with original systems tend to encounter restrictions somewhere within the system over time. This can lead to whole-system pressure loss.

The usual culprit on older systems is a non-functioning backflow and/or collapsed internals of the pressure regulator.

We located where the irrigation was tied into the water line, the pressure regulator, backflow assembly AND a secondary pressure regulator.

Due to age and current performance issues the homeowner elected to have use remove the redundant pressure regulators and replace the double check backflow preventer. Not only that, we also installed a new shut off valve since the system did not already have one 🤯

Ta-da!

Full pressure back to the irrigation system 😎

Hey y’all — just wanted to hop on here for a quick update.

We’re currently running about 4 weeks out right now. This time of year gets busy fast, and I’m doing everything I can to keep up.
