Late last year we completed the hardwood installation for this 10,000+ sq. ft. Napa Valley estate. A build of this scale demanded precision, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship — and our team delivered.

The residence showcases 8” Character Grade Fumed European Oak floors, seamlessly flowing through the expansive interiors and anchored by custom stair details that merge warmth with architectural elegance.

📍 Monte Sereno, CA

You don’t hand your vintage Swiss watch to just any jeweler.

You don’t take your sports car to just any mechanic.

And you don’t trust your hardwood floors to just any flooring company.

For this Monte Sereno home, we created a bespoke medallion that anchors the entry like a signature. We crafted custom treads and risers for a spiral staircase, and hand-shaped an S-curved stair nosing—built from scratch and fit to perfection. We laced in new boards where walls had been moved and refinished nearly 4,000 sq ft of American Rift & Quartered White Oak.

This is craftsmanship.

📍 Piedmont, CA

This was such a fun project to work on in the charming community of Piedmont!

We installed 5/16” x 3-5-7 Honduran Mahogany, then added elegant walnut pegs for a custom touch.

The Mahogany floors were then stained and coated to match the existing wood floors, and the final result was simply stunning!

This week, our team is proud to be wrapping up a stunning 4,000 sq. ft. refinishing project of rift and quartered white oak floors in Monte Sereno.

Every room in this home is a masterpiece, featuring intricate borders, elegant feature strips, and a breathtaking parquetry design in the entryway. As a special touch, we added a checkerboard pattern in the studio at a 45-degree angle—showcasing the versatility and artistry of hardwood flooring.

We are incredibly grateful to have been entrusted by the architect, builder, and homeowner to restore and enhance these beautiful floors. A big thank you to our amazing team for their dedication and craftsmanship on this extraordinary project.

We are thrilled to share the completion of this absolute masterpiece in Hillsborough, CA. From start to finish, this home has truly been a master class in design and craftsmanship.

Our team at Garibay Hardwood Floors brought over 1,500 sq ft of 4” x 28” Prime Grade European Oak Herringbone and more than 2,000 sq ft of 7” Prime Grade European Oak Plank to life. Each piece was meticulously installed, sanded, and finished with one coat of stain and three coats of .us Water Base Urethane. The result? A stunning floor that perfectly complements the elegance of this home, offering both beauty and lasting durability.

We take immense pride in every detail, and this project is a true testament to the level of craftsmanship and dedication we bring to every job. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful clients for trusting us with their vision, and to our incredible team and vendors who made it all happen.

French Oak Friday X Final Coat Friday

Today we wrap up this French Oak Project in Oakland, CA.

This floor is character grade and is finished in a matte clear finishgiving it the natural raw look of French Oak.

📍 Hillsborough, CA.

We are almost wrapped up with the install portion of this Masterpiece.

Over 1,000 square feet of 4” x 28” Prime Grade European Oak Herringbone were installed in the entry, formal dinning room, and living room.

The remaining 3,000 square feet of this beautiful home were completed using 7” Prime Grade European Oak Planks.

Finally the staircase will be crafted out of Solid Prime Grade European Oak Treads.

We are very proud of our team for showcasing quality craftsmanship on this exceptional install. We are looking forward to coming back later this summer to sand and finish these beautiful hardwood floors!

Last week we refinished this Rustic Grade European Oak Floor in Woodside, CA.

The floor was originally prefinished with a UV Oil. This time we finished it with .us Traffic HD which will guarantee improved durability and easier maintenance.

We love refinishing hardwood floors; it gives floors a new look and a new life !

📍 East Bay, CA.

We can’t think of a better picture for a Flash Back Friday or French Oak Friday Post.

Earlier this year we wrapped up this install of 3/4” x 4” x 28” Prime Grade European Oak Herringbone with a one 7” board boarder. A small but very fun project for a great local builder.

We finished this floor with three coats of water 💧 base urethane for a clean raw look that accentuates the natural allure of French White Oak.

Last weekend our lovely clients in Redwood City invited us to a Builders Thank You Party 🎉.

We had a great time and were able to take a couple of pictures 📷 of our finished floors !

The floor selected and installed is a Prefinished 3/4” x 9 1/2” European Oak Plank with a 6mm wear layer.

A beautiful floor for a beautiful home 🏡.
