Lilly's Murals and More

Lilly's Murals and More Hi, I’m Lilly! I’m a mural and craft artist with a passion for bringing color and creativity to everyday spaces.

I specialize in hand-painted pieces but dabble in a little bit of everything. I'd love to turn you bright ideas into a colorful reality!

Can we talk about Total Glow Clinic for a second?! 😍
Because LOOK at this place. Bridget has such an eye for creating a space that feels luxurious, dramatic, and still completely welcoming. That waiting room alone?! The chandelier?! 🤌
This entryway is officially mural #4 I’ve painted for Total Glow, with a couple more still to come, and I genuinely cannot say enough about how much their continued support of my art and my little business means to me.
There is something so special about being invited back again and again, and getting to watch my artwork slowly become part of the personality of a space.
Thank you, Bridget and Total Glow Clinic, for continuing to trust me with your walls. I am beyond in love with this one. ✨

Dolly’s glow can never be replaced, but I like to think a little bit of it still shows up in unexpected places. ✨

Sometimes even in a few brushstrokes on a wall.

This morning’s addition to Total Glow Clinic’s entryway, and I am beyond in love with her. She IS the moment. 💅✨

I apologized for being a lefty during the ✨yummy sticky paint sounds✨… but actually, I’m using my platform today to speak for my people. 😂✋

BEING LEFT HANDED IS A DAILY INCONVENIENCE THAT RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE DON’T EVEN KNOW EXISTS.

My Meta glasses are a perfect example. They’re recording from my face… but because I paint with my left hand, MY OWN HAND BLOCKS THE CAMERA. So half the time I’m contorting myself into some horribly awkward position just so y’all can actually see what I’m doing.

And you can ALWAYS tell when something was actually designed with lefties in mind versus when somebody slapped “universal” on it and called it a day.

Scissors. Can openers. Tools that rub in exactly the wrong place and give you blisters. Desks. Measuring tapes. Power tools. Literally anything where the buttons, grips, guards, viewing angles, or direction of movement were designed around a right hand.

AND GUITARS?! A brand-new left-handed guitar can cost more because it’s “specialty”… then you try to sell it and suddenly it’s worth less because the buyer pool is smaller. Explain THAT little economic hate crime. 😂

There are SO MANY OF US. Why are we still living in a world where “designed for the everyday user” apparently means “designed for some of the everyday users.”

Anyway.

Enjoy the paint peel. 😂

Lefties, please use this comment section to air your grievances. What everyday object personally victimizes you?

There are murals I finish, photograph, and eventually move on from.

And then there are places like this. 💗

Getting to fill the halls of the Fostering Change Girls Program with my artwork has been one of those projects that sticks with me. I knew while I was painting that these weren't just walls I was making prettier. This would be home for girls walking through some incredibly important chapters of their lives.

I wanted what I added to feel warm, happy, welcoming, and maybe make the building feel a little less like a program and a little more like theirs.

Seeing both the Girls AND Boys Programs officially open now is incredibly special. I’m so grateful Fostering Change trusted me with so much of their space and let Lilly’s Murals and More leave its fingerprints all over this chapter. 🥹🎨💗

I hope these walls bring a little joy to every kid who gets to call this place home.

Some days, chronic illness wins.

I went to work today with every intention of getting a full day in. I got everything prepped, my paints sorted by color, and maybe 45 minutes of actual sketching and painting done.

And then I had a seizure.

Looking back, I should've known it was coming. I'd only had a protein shake this morning, and about three hours beforehand I started getting shaky and weak. But I kept pushing myself, telling myself, even a few hours of work is a few more hours toward the finish line.

Instead, I came home weak and sore from the muscles in my back quivering, and slept for two hours.

That's one of the hardest parts of living with chronic illness for me. I can plan my entire day. I can organize the paint. Pack everything I need. Set goals. Make a schedule.

And then my body can just say, nope. We're doing something else today.

I don't do well with plans changing. At all. 😂 And chronic illness basically requires me to live on the edge of my seat, ready to change those plans at a moment's notice.

So today, this is as far as I got.

The paint will still be there tomorrow. The wall will still be there tomorrow. The finish line didn't move just because I had to stop.

Some days I get to decide when I'm done.

Some days my body decides for me.

Today was one of those days. 💛

This is why I love what I do. 💙
I get to paint a lot of walls, but every once in a while I get to be part of something that feels much bigger than paint.
I had the privilege of painting several murals throughout the new Fostering Change Boys Program, and seeing them officially open their doors makes my heart so happy.
These walls are going to hold so many stories, fresh starts, hard days, victories, and second chances. Knowing that a little bit of my artwork gets to live there through all of it is something I’ll never take for granted.
Thank you, Fostering Change, for trusting me to help make this place feel a little more like home. 💙
I cannot WAIT for everyone to finally see what we’ve been working on. 🎨✨
