A: Buying an older home is exciting, but the electrical system deserves a close look before you sign anything. Key things to check: What size is the electrical panel. Is it 100 amp or 200 amp? Are there any signs of DIY electrical work (mismatched wiring, exposed cables, double-tapped breakers)? Does the home have grounded outlets throughout? Are there GFCI outlets in kitchens and bathrooms? Is there any knob-and-tube or aluminium wiring present? We strongly recommend an independent electrical inspection before purchasing any older home.

A: These three words are everywhere on appliances but most people have never had them explained simply. Here's what they actually mean:
🔵 Volts = The strength of the electrical supply. Think of it as how powerful the electricity coming out of your wall is.

🔵 Watts = The total amount of power being consumed. It's simply volts multiplied by amps

Q❓: Why do my lights flicker or dim when I turn on the air fryer or microwave?

Q: What is the difference between two-prong and three-prong plugs?
