Republican John Schroder is in a run-off with Democrat Derrick Edwards for State Treasurer. Turnout is expected to be very low throughout the state. However, New Orleans turnout is expected to be higher with their high profile mayoral run-off election. Schroder will likely be facing a 50,000 vote deficit in Orleans Parish that the rest of the state would have to be overcome.
