We’re a hardworking Hispanic couple. And this is our story in construction. 🏗️

We’ve built a lot of projects together. RD General Contractors is one of them.

Everything looks beautiful from the outside. But working with your partner? That’s a whole different job. It’s challenging. Some days we see the project the same way, and some days we don’t.

But we’ve learned. We’ve grown. And that’s exactly what lets us deliver construction projects successfully.

What we do at RD General Contractors:
🔨 We remodel homes, businesses and institutions.
🏢 We build everything from residential additions to commercial buildings and plazas.

And what we always aim for: full support for our clients, from the concept all the way to the smallest construction detail.

Now your turn 👇

A space like this isn’t just renovated — it’s rebuilt around the people who depend on it every day. This Alzheimer’s Care Center project for the City of Lauderdale Lakes meant accessible showers, safer bathrooms, and updated common areas designed for residents who need stability, not surprises.
Public institutional work carries a different kind of responsibility — every detail has to meet code, serve a vulnerable population, and hold up under daily use. Proud to have delivered that for the City of Lauderdale Lakes.
Working on a municipal or institutional project that needs a contractor who understands compliance, accessibility, and public accountability? Let’s talk.

Every dental office renovation comes with decisions only the doctor can make — equipment placement, room flow, patient experience. Our job is to walk through it with him, step by step, so demo day turns into a smooth, guided process instead of a guessing game.

Who are we, and how do we do it? 👇

We’re a husband-and-wife team running RD General Contractors — she handles preconstruction, permits, and the client relationship. He runs the day-to-day on every job site. Different lanes, same goal: doing it right.

Working as a couple isn’t always easy. But it’s taught us to complement each other — and that shows in every project we deliver, from the first walkthrough to the final detail.

Residential, commercial, and institutional construction across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

Not sure what questions to ask your contractor? We’ll walk you through it.

Not every project in Florida requires a building permit anymore 👀🏠

A new Florida law may allow certain residential projects under $7,500 to qualify for a permit exemption.

But ⚠️ that doesn’t mean every project under $7,500 can be done without a permit.

The type of work matters, the property matters, and there are specific requirements that must be met. 📋

Before starting any work, make sure you understand what applies to your specific project. A wrong assumption can lead to violations, delays, and additional costs later. 🚧

At RD General Contractors, we believe the best way to start a project is with the right information. 🏗️

Ayer en una sala llena de personas
que decidieron no rendirse.

Ismael CALA nos recordó algo
que a veces olvidamos:

“El obstáculo no es el final
del camino ,es parte de él.”

Salí de ahí con el tanque lleno.
Lista para seguir construyendo.
Literalmente.

This is what our day actually looks like, not the finished kitchens, not the reveals. Just Ronald picking paint swatches between appointments while I film from the passenger seat.

Así es nuestro día real, no las cocinas terminadas, no los reveals. Solo Ronald escogiendo colores entre cita y cita, mientras yo grabo desde el copiloto.

Working together in construction isn’t a nice idea. It’s our everyday reality. 🛠️

She sees the client’s emotional side. He sees if it’s actually feasible. Two different roles, one shared vision — and when we don’t agree, we talk it out right there, on-site. We don’t hide it.

That’s what keeps every project moving forward — and it’s how RD General Contractors really works.
