Today, Done Right Services was in North Andover, Massachusetts, repairing multiple cracks in this poured-concrete foundation.

The foundation had old failed crack repairs along with mold/moisture staining on the concrete, so instead of just doing the crack repairs, we ground down the entire sections of the concrete foundation first.

🔨 WHAT WE DID:
✅ grind the concrete foundation our grinders are connected to triple HEPA filter vacuum system for a clean job!

✅ Removed the old foundation crack repairs
✅ Exposed the cracks so they could be properly treated
✅ Waterproofed each crack from top to bottom
✅ Sealed the lower termination at the foundation floor

These photos are a perfect example of what happens when an old stone foundation is repeatedly covered with hydraulic cement and hard cement-based patches instead of being repaired the way it was originally designed.

🚨 OLD STONE FOUNDATIONS NEED TO BREATHE.

Simply packing hydraulic cement into every opening may temporarily hide the problem, but it does not properly restore deteriorated mortar joints — and it can redirect moisture deeper into the wall or force it to appear somewhere else.

✅ The proper approach starts with removing loose, failed material.

✅ Open deteriorated joints need to be properly cleaned and prepared.
