General Day Laborers Needed – Gainesville, Florida
Fortified Integrated Solutions LLC is seeking dependable general laborers for restoration and construction-related work in the Gainesville area.
We are looking for individuals who:
✅Live in Gainesville, Alachua County, or surrounding communities
✅Can reliably commute to Gainesville each workday
✅Are available for temporary, project-based, or extended assignments
✅Can follow directions, work safely, and maintain a professional attitude
✅Are comfortable performing physical labor in active restoration and construction environments
General Labor Responsibilities:
Demolition
Remove damaged drywall, walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, and other affected building materials using approved manual and mechanical methods.
Containment Setup
Assist with installing plastic barriers, floor protection, critical seals, and controlled work areas to help prevent dust and contaminants from spreading.
Flood Cuts
Remove water-damaged drywall and related materials to support structural drying, mold prevention, remediation, and reconstruction.
Cleaning and Debris Removal
Perform post-construction and restoration cleaning, debris removal, sanitization, sweeping, detailed cleaning, and job-site preparation.
Equipment and Material Setup
Assist with loading, unloading, placing, and removing drying equipment, tools, scaffolding, temporary protection, and project materials.
Contents Management
Workers may also assist with contents affected by water, fire, smoke, or mold, including:
Photographing and documenting affected contents
Creating inventories of furniture, equipment, boxes, and personal property
Packing, labeling, moving, and organizing contents
Assisting with pack-out and pack-back services
Cleaning and deodorizing salvageable items
Carefully handling furniture, tools, electronics, and specialty equipment
Maintaining clean and organized storage and work areas
All work must be completed under the direction of the project supervisor and in accordance with job-site safety procedures. Workers will not be assigned regulated hazardous-material removal unless separately qualified and authorized.
Basic Requirements
Reliable transportation to the Gainesville project location
Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
Ability to lift and carry equipment, debris, boxes, and building materials
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow safety instructions and wear required PPE
Restoration, demolition, construction, moving, or contents experience is preferred but not required
