One of my largest projects to date. Finishing this basement was an absolute pleasure! So thankful that VanderLinden Construction and the home owners both trusted me to help complete the vision of this basement. What started as an unfinished space, ended up having so much character. Being able to incorporate some custom pieces such as the rustic mantel and matching beam wrap. Let me know what you think!

Business update post:
I started this business with the intention of offering custom woodworking, and other custom projects to my clients. I recently changed the name of my business to better reflect the services I offer. I have been very fortunate to work with great people and work for great clients, doing work beyond custom woodworking, a lot a finish carpentry. With that, I will be offering more services. I will handle all of your projects, such as remodels, new construction, exterior updates, and more! I will continue offering my finish carpentry and incorporate my woodworking services as well. Stay tuned here, I’ll be sharing some of my recent projects. So when you hear the name Summit Carpentry, know it’s still me handling the project!

I recently had the pleasure of making this bar height table for a couple great people! It’s solid hickory with a natural finish to go with the cabinets. They specified they wanted more of the lighter wood visible so that’s just what I did. Tossed in a few walnut/hickory coasters as a thank you! Let me know what you think!

These black pieces have been a real hit lately! Here is a living room that I added a few custom touches to. That’s a 7”x7”x 9.5’ mantel that wraps around for another 2.5’ on each side, with some matching built-in shelves that are roughly 5’ wide. More to come about the beams on the ceiling. Let me know what you think!

It’s been a very long time since I’ve posted on here, figured I should be sharing some of my work. I will be posting recent work here over the next few weeks. Check back to see more, and if there is anything you’d like to inquire about please let me know!

First is this fireplace built in addition. The client wanted make better use of the space next to the fireplace and wanted the top shelf to match the profile of the wrapping mantel, as well as the sides to tie into the existing style of the room. The shelves were scribed to the stone to create a more seamless transition. This project was completed to the “paint ready” stage and was later finished by professional painters

Recently had the pleasure of completing these accent walls for another great family! Lake painting came in to complete the look and match the existing trim. I love being able to bring vision to life. What starts as a idea off of Pinterest, ends up in the clients home. I love what I get to do! Let me know what you all think! I don’t often get an opportunity to work with hickory, but am always happy when the client picks it! Got the opportunity to create this nice countertop above their washer and dryer for an easy place to fold some laundry.
