Renda Electric is looking for an experienced Residential Project Lead to join our team.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated team member who is willing to jump in and take on new challenges and opportunities. Someone that is willing to prove themselves as a Project Lead and provide support to Renda Electric Residential Projects.
As a Residential Project Lead, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical and power systems, providing technical expertise and safety to your team, and helping to improve the lives of our customers by bringing safety and professional electrical services to their homes and residential communities.
· Work with your team too direct and train electricians and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
· Ability to work and coordinate with other trades, general contractors, owners, and engineers
· Comprehend, read, and interpret instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, and written instructions
· Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
· Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
· Trouble-shoot all electric systems
· Monitor progress of work and provide reports to the management team.
· Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment
· Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
· Place and bend conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
· Working knowledge of NEC
· Practice and comprehend safe work procedures
· Operate company trucks in accordance with vehicle policy
Requirements:
· Iowa Journeyman License and the skills to perform the responsibilities of a Journeyman Electrician
· Must be able to positively identify colors of wires
· Able to work inside and outside; all elements; in all types of weather conditions
· Valid driver’s license
· Computer experience preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge and operation of proper hand and power tools.
