Project Manager - Custom Box Beams, trusses and mantels

​Are you an organized, detail-oriented, high capacity person with a passion for high-quality craftsmanship? We're looking for a Project Manager to join our custom box beam company and oversee projects from initial concept through final installation and warranty.

​What You'll Do:

-​Manage the full project lifecycle: pre-construction, production coordination, installation, and warranty.
-​Visit job sites to procure accurate field measurements and ensure project readiness.
-​Serve as the primary point of contact, meeting with contractors, builders, and clients to discuss project scope and details.
-​Develop estimates and quotes for new projects.
-​Maintain comprehensive project schedules and work closely with production management to coordinate fabrication timelines.
-​Perform quality control inspections on finished work and manage the completion of any necessary touch-ups or warranty service.

​What You'll Bring:

- ​Proven experience in project management (preferred).
-​Experience in carpentry or residential construction (a significant plus!).
-​Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimating
-​Familiarity with software like Bluebeam (for markup/takeoffs) and SketchUp (for visualization) is a major asset.
-​Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
-​Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure on-site.

Job Summary:
Schrock's Custom Woodworking is looking for a highly organized and experienced project manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of coordinating a high volume of jobs, from site measuring and taking field notes to producing quotes and coordinating installations. You will also be responsible for inspecting jobs for quality control and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
• Help construct and maintain a accurate project schedule

This was a fun challenge. It took a lot of detailed layout and careful engineering to make this reality. 3D design software is really valuable on a project like this to help you see how all the angles will come together but in the end a well engineered design only works if you have the craftsmen to pull it off. I met with and crew onsite one time, went over the design with them and they made it happen!
