Many years ago, I had a website for my practice and over the years I let it "go"....after being asked for it for a while, I am thrilled to share the brand new website going live NOW!
Huge thanks to Stephen Aber for working with me to create the new site!

As the preeminent Educational Audiology Specialist Group in North Carolina, John E. Sexton Associates (JESA) focuses on the needs of school age children, needs that would otherwise go undetected.

Here we grow again:
I need a full time Educational Audiologist for the Lumberton NC area and will be adding a new position in the Charlotte area in August 2022.
Spread the word!

I am so honored to have a wonderful staff of outstanding Educational Audiologists. Here is a proud "Papa" moment to share a letter I received this morning from a parent:

"Good morning, Johnnie!
I need to brag on one of your audiologists. Whenever I contact him and ask him to pay my child and/or his teachers in the classroom a visit, he is always out there the next day. He genuinely cares for my child and does his best to understand his frustrations and make sure that he gets the best hearing experience possible at school while feeling like he is fitting in and that his feelings matter. He is excellent at educating new teachers and staff and reviewing the benefits of them utilizing the mini mic, while providing tips along the way. He makes sure that all teachers and staff know how to contact him and encourage them to contact him with any questions. He follows up with me via email after each visit explaining what he did, what he fixed and my son and the teacher’s reactions to his visit. We are so grateful that you employ caring individuals in your practice. Your Educational Audiologist is a pleasure to work with and makes my child's school day a little better."

CFR 34 300.34 (c)(1)

No school (public, private or charter) is to select, fit and manage a child with hearing loss' technology for school WITHOUT an Audiologist (preferrably one who is trained in assistive technology). I am being contacted more and more about this is of great concern.
