Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Like many of you, we’re taking a little time today to remember what this day is really about.

For our family, that includes thinking about two very special WWII veterans who are part of the Slaughter Roofing story:

🇺🇸 Bob Slaughter – U.S. Navy
🇺🇸 Marshall Strother – U.S. Navy

We’re grateful for their service, their sacrifice, and the legacy they left behind. To all who have served and sacrificed, thank you. We remember and honor you today.

Storm season is here, and unfortunately, so are the storm chasers.

After major weather events, it’s common for out-of-town contractors to show up quickly, make big promises, and disappear before problems show up.

Before you sign anything for a repair or replacement, keep a few things in mind:

✅ Look for local companies with a reputation in the community.
✅ Get the price, scope, and materials in writing
✅ Don’t hand over insurance money before the work is complete
✅ Pay attention to the names you see around town and be cautious of anyone knocking on doors after the storm.

A good roof matters. So does knowing who is standing behind it when the work is done.

Over the weekend, the incredible women of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) rolled through Greeley, and the team at did an amazing job hosting the event!

From the Pro Am to the Saturday night finals, it was a really fun weekend for bowling and for Greeley. (We also happen to have a young bowler in the family, and safe to say he had the time of his life).

If you ever get the chance to watch these women bowl, do it. And when you see Zach Endres next, give him a high-five for helping make it all happen. 🎳

Teachers do a lot more than teach.

They encourage, support, challenge, mentor, and somehow manage to keep it all moving forward day after day. Like many of you, some of our family members and favorite people are teachers, and we’re incredibly grateful for every educator in our community and the impact they have on so many kids and families.

We didn’t see much snow this winter, but we’ve definitely had our share of wind.

Strong gusts can loosen things up on your roof — especially exhaust caps and vents. If they’re not secured properly, they can become a hazard or lead to issues down the road. Take a quick look from the ground around your home and make sure everything looks straight and in place.

If something looks off, we’re always happy to take a closer look.

Although known for their dad jokes, there’s no fooling these three when it comes to roofing.

Mike, Gregg, and Martin are fantastic at what they do and a big reason our roofs are replaced with skill, care, and craftsmanship. The jokes may be questionable… but the work never is. 😄
