The Weld Community Foundation is one of those organizations that does so much good for the place we’re fortunate to call home. We’re proud to support their work and excited to attend this year’s Spread the Good Luncheon.

This year, they’ll be celebrating the Legends of Weld County — the people and stories that helped shape our community, while looking ahead to the legacy we’re building today.

Most people only see the finished roof. What they don’t always see is everything that happens before the last shingle goes on.

Scheduling. Planning. Ordering materials. Coordinating crews. Answering questions. Inspecting every detail. It takes a lot of people working together to make every project run smoothly, and we’re grateful for every member of our team who helps make that happen.

It’s Justin Carlock Day! 🎉

TODAY IS JUSTIN CARLOCK DAY IN WELD COUNTY!

A special accomplishment for a Colorado PGA Assistant golfer and Eaton resident is now a part of Weld County history! The Weld County Board of Commissioners proclaimed Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, Justin Carlock Day in Weld County.

The recognition comes after Carlock’s performance at the United States Golf Association’s U.S. Adaptive Open Championship in July. In his first-ever adaptive open, the golf world took notice of Carlock’s talent and drive as he stood out in a field of national and international competition. Three solid rounds of golf earned him a tie for third place — one of the highest finishes for any American in the competition’s history!

Beyond highlighting his athletic achievements, the proclamation expressed pride in Carlock's character. The commissioners thanked him for representing Weld County so well on a big stage.

“I’m so thankful to be in this position and be born in raised in Weld County (and) represent all of us just doing what I love to do,” Carlock said following the board’s proclamation. “Thank you guys so much!”

Sometimes you’re first to the job site… and some mornings you play second fiddle to this guy giving everything a once-over. 🦚

With storms in the forecast, it’s a good time to make sure your gutters are clear so water doesn’t back up into your eaves or soffits. And if we get a lot of rain, keep an eye out for leaks around skylights, vents, chimneys, and other roof penetrations where the flashing can become overwhelmed during heavy downpours.

When a leak keeps showing up and the source isn’t obvious, one of the tools we use is a controlled water test. By carefully introducing water to specific areas of the roof, we can follow its path and pinpoint exactly where it’s getting in.

And here’s the interesting part: sometimes the leak isn’t coming from the roof at all. Chimneys, siding transitions, window framing, flashing, and roof penetrations can all be the culprit.

Finding the true source of a leak is the most important part of the repair. A proper diagnosis eliminates the guesswork, prevents unnecessary work, and helps ensure the problem is fixed correctly the first time.

Because the best repair starts with finding the real problem.

Two things have been making a lot of noise around here lately…

🐂 Bulls.
🧊 Hail.

One is worth buying a ticket to watch. The other… we’d all rather skip.

The Xtreme Bulls at the Greeley Stampede were a whole lot of fun last night. The hail? Not so much. If your home was in the path of the storm, we’re happy to inspect your roof and let you know what we find. No pressure - just honest advice from a local team.
