A removal in its different stages. This job was a perfect example of why an arborist can not give you a quote over the phone. Over 45 feet tall and over 3 feet in diameter at the trunk. Add 150 feet through a 4 foot gate to the nearest vehicle access.

A couple front yard Aspen trees. Having a big family that helps you out is great. But the knowledge, skill, and insurance of a professional is sometimes what a customer needs to commit to a job. Your not only paying for equipment and time on-site. You are often paying for years of experience/knowledge, and the piece of mind that if something goes wrong. It will be made right.

A little before and after from today's removal. The customer regretted not clipping this Elm off 30 years ago. He also knew it wasn't DIY.

Sometimes removing a mature tree from your yard can be a tough decision. Sometimes planting trees to replace one you know will be removed in the future makes it a little easier. If you're going to plant trees close to a tree that you know will be removed in the future, take steps to ensure the new trees will not be damaged during the removal of the old tree in the future.

Just because the canopy is green, doesn't always mean your tree is in good shape. This Elm was rotten halfway in on the side opposite of the lean. What was going to be a simple prune, turned into a full removal.
