This Silver Spring homeowner was in the process of buying a new home and already knew that one of the first major projects they wanted to address was the roof. At approximately 25 years old, the existing roofing system was nearing the end of its expected lifespan, and the customer wanted to take care of it quickly rather than wait for problems to develop.

Because the homeowner was very thorough and detail-oriented, communication was especially important throughout the process. We made sure to explain each step of the project in detail, walk through the scope of work, and answer every question so they could feel fully informed and confident before moving forward.

For the roof replacement, the homeowner selected CertainTeed Landmark Pro Max Def Espresso, giving the home a rich, updated appearance while providing the long-term protection they were looking for.

In addition to the new roof, the homeowner also chose to upgrade the gutter system. We installed 6-inch gutters with 3x4 downspouts, allowing for improved water flow and drainage around the home. To help reduce future maintenance, we also installed Ply Gem Leaf Relief gutter guards.

They were not particularly happy with the existing shingle color, and they also disliked the way the apron flashing looked across the front of the house.

After inspecting the roof and discussing the homeowner’s concerns, we put together a detailed proposal for a full roof replacement.
