In honor of my job transition from the Pro Shop, I’m sharing this project I’ve been working on for weeks. 🫶🏻💻🖱️
Back in June/July I wrote an essay about my experiences as a woman working in a hockey Pro Shop, sharing my perspectives and nostalgia within the sport. Recently I’ve been brushing up my digital portfolio, so I thought turning my essay into a magazine spread would be a fun project. 📖
I used a lot of photos of myself playing hockey growing up, and there’s a huge highlight on my Dad with this article. I was writing it when he was in the hospital shortly before he passed away, and a portion of it is something I with he could’ve heard. ❤️🩹
I will always reflect back on my Pro Shop days with love and gratitude despite the many challenged and obstacles I faced within the community. I hope that my presence truly has had an impact around me and I will miss being of service to so many people I’ve grown to love. ⛸️
